Featured Mompreneur Dr. Clarise
I am blessed to be a Chiropractor that has faithfully been serving families in the Oakville area for the past few years. I grew up in the beautiful city of Burlington and cherish every moment spent with family, friends and my church. My passion for Chiropractic grew from the healing my dad experienced in his health. At a point in his life, he suffered from a plethora of health conditions including breathing problems and severe neck pain. Having sought out many alternative treatments, it was through Chiropractic that he began to heal and receive hope for the first time. My prayer is to impart hope to people who have been suffering with any sort of sickness and save their life.
My vision is to transform the health of our community, ONE family at a time. I believe that health is a gift that we have been given to steward through the choices that we make on a daily basis. Dis-ease or sickness is simply the body’s expression of these choices that will serve to strengthen or weaken the innate healing power God has given our bodies. As a Chiropractor, I specialize in restructuring the spine to ensure the body is healing and functioning the way it was designed to.
What has been the most valuable lesson you have learned since starting your business?
The most valuable lesson I have learned since starting my practice is never to give up. It is the consistency in our repeated effort thatwill lead to success. It takes 10,000 hours of practice to achieve mastery in a field. Be committed day in and day out and you will reap the harvest of all the time, effort and resources you have invested in yourself and in your business.
How do you manage to juggle all your roles? How do you achieve some balance in your life?
The use of my iCal and planning my month(s) in advance has helped tremendously in being able to use my time efficiently inside and outside of the clinic. One thing that I’ve learned is that despite the busyness of building one’s business, it is extremely important to take time for yourself. By doing so, we are able to refocus, recharge and renew our passion to serve people with a greater capacity of love and gratitude.
Based on your experiences, what advice do you have for other women considering entrepreneurism?
My advice for other women entrepreneurs is to follow your passion. People follow passion. Let your passion be a fuel to your dream.
Do you have a motivational quote that inspires you?
“When you live out of discipline, you will be admired but when you live out of passion, you will be contagious.”
